Structural Engineer

We are looking for full time experienced Structural Engineer to become part of the engineering team, creating designs that drive our state-of-the-art factory in East Brent, Somerset.

Your day to day duties will include:

Steel connection design
Frame analysis of steel frame in the temporary state
Value engineering of current steel frame designs
Frame design for tendering/estimating
Streamlining designs to suit unique demands of each project
Working alongside and checking work with other Engineers including Graduate Engineers
Liaising with all internal departments (Drawing Office, Fabrication, Erection, etc.)
Liaising with all members of design team (Engineer, Architect, etc.)

To be considered for the role, you will need the following:

A degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
Chartered membership to ISE or ICE preferred but not essential
A level Maths
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Designing steel structures/connections
CAD experience (Tekla experience advantageous)
Good communication will be essential with drawings
Good written and oral communication skills
Excellent analytical, critical thinking and strategic skills
Good standards of accuracy and attention to detail
Good computer skills
Works well on own initiative and as part of a team
Punctual and reliable
